Tiling

It is vital that the area you intend to tile has been well prepared with flat walls and surfaces, otherwise any imperfections will quickly become evident when you tile. Tiling window sills or around objects can prove fiddly but in the hands of a skilled tiler it is not a problem as you can see here. Note how the tiles are mitred which gives a clean, professional finish.
Equally when laying floor tiles the surface needs to be level and smooth. Whilst this project at first glance may seem like another beautifully tiled floor, when you look at the actual layout of the tiles, mozaic tiles have been laid in between the big tiles, you suddenly realise just what craftsmanship has gone into creating this look.
Floors are not always with out obstacles, as in this project which was part of a conservatory floor where there was a manhole cover. The Trade Trust has continued the tiling over the cover but as you can see there are no breaks in the lines of the design, resulting in a cover that all but blends into the floor.

The Trade Trust's skilled tilers prides themselves on the best possible finish. Old tiles are removed in preparation for a new look. We work with all types of tile, why not go for a traditional stone or perhaps a cool ceramic is more your style. What about coloured grout and trim to give the perfect finish. Whatever the area, floor to ceiling, The Trade Trust's expertise and knowledge will ensure you get the job done right first time.

For the most part when tricky shaped obstacles are encountered it is difficult to continue tiling as it takes considerable craftsmanship to successfully tile these areas. When preparing this bathroom for tiling just such an obstacle was encountered. Rather than simply painting this, it was prepared for tiling too.
And here the awkward shape has been beautifully tiled which demonstrates The Trade Trust's considerable skills. In fact The Trade Trust prides itself on mitring all the edges of the tiling where possible, which means there is no need for plastic trim. The result is a clean, professional finish.
On this floor, the customer couldn't decide whether to have the tiles laid diagonal or square, so we did both much to their delight. The floor was first tiled by a different builder who completely messed it up and The Trade Trust came to the rescue and gave them this beautifully laid, level floor
